The toolkit was created to address the pressing need for robust and effective STI policies that can drive sustainable development across Africa.
By providing a structured approach to evaluating and enhancing STI systems, it empowers African Science Granting Councils to make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and foster innovation that can tackle Africa’s unique challenges.
It offers a set of practices that councils and policymakers can use to support and direct their reviews of STI systems and improve STI policy effectiveness.
