The second phase of the SGCI seeks to strengthen the capacity of Science Granting Councils (SGCs) in 17 African countries to support evidence-based policies for socio-economic development. Implemented through collaborating technical agencies, it includes SARIMA’s partnership with WARIMA under Theme 1: Research Management (October 2023–September 2026). This theme focuses on improving research and grants management among SGCs through capacity building, skill development, in-country support, collaborative learning, and knowledge sharing. This newsletter provides an overview of SARIMA’s activities in advancing these goals.
Themes
The SGCI aims to strengthen the capacities of these SGCs to support research and evidence-based policies that will contribute to economic and social development.
