17 June 2026 - DFG virtual session

Researchers across Africa and the Middle East are invited to participate in a virtual information session hosted by the German Research Foundation (DFG) on funding opportunities for international scientific research collaborations.

Scheduled for 17 June 2026, the online session will provide an overview of DFG’s funding portfolio for international research partnerships and offer practical guidance on how researchers can identify collaboration partners and host institutions in Germany.

The event is open to postdoctoral researchers from all academic disciplines and will include an interactive question-and-answer segment.

The session is particularly relevant for researchers seeking to expand their international networks, develop joint research projects, and explore funding avenues that support scientific collaboration between Germany and countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Researchers do not need to have previously received DFG funding to participate.

Registration is not required, and interested researchers can join directly via the Microsoft Teams meeting link provided by DFG.

SGCI encourages eligible researchers within its network to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about international collaboration pathways and funding mechanisms that can strengthen research partnerships and scientific excellence.
