{"id":18552,"date":"2024-02-23T14:13:34","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T14:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sgciafrica.org\/?p=18552"},"modified":"2026-02-11T13:54:23","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T13:54:23","slug":"projeto-hidrico-da-zambia-visa-a-resiliencia-climatica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sgciafrica.org\/pt\/projeto-hidrico-da-zambia-visa-a-resiliencia-climatica\/","title":{"rendered":"Projeto h\u00eddrico na Z\u00e2mbia aposta na resili\u00eancia clim\u00e1tica"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>O projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o poder\u00e1 trazer clareza sobre a possibilidade de transfer\u00eancia interbacias entre as bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas dos rios Luapula e Kafue.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Velocidade de leitura<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Projeto h\u00eddrico na Z\u00e2mbia visa responder aos impactos do clima e refor\u00e7ar a sustentabilidade da \u00e1gua<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Ir\u00e1 explorar os m\u00e9ritos da transfer\u00eancia interbacias entre as bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas dos rios Luapula e Kafue<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>O projeto dever\u00e1 assegurar um abastecimento de \u00e1gua fi\u00e1vel para as gera\u00e7\u00f5es futuras<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>Por Scovian Lillian<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>[NAIROBI] Um projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua nas bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas do Alto Zambeze e do rio Luapula, na Z\u00e2mbia, poder\u00e1 melhorar a gest\u00e3o da \u00e1gua, elevar os baixos n\u00edveis de \u00e1gua e reduzir as quebras no fornecimento de energia causadas pelos impactos das altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas, afirma um investigador na \u00e1rea da \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n<p>Atualmente, o pa\u00eds est\u00e1 a perder recursos h\u00eddricos devido \u00e0 altera\u00e7\u00e3o dos padr\u00f5es meteorol\u00f3gicos e ao aumento das temperaturas, amea\u00e7ando necessidades b\u00e1sicas como a \u00e1gua pot\u00e1vel e a agricultura.<\/p>\n\n<p>Nyambe Imasike, professor de geologia e coordenador da Gest\u00e3o Integrada de Recursos H\u00eddricos da Universidade da Z\u00e2mbia, afirma que o projeto para refor\u00e7ar a prote\u00e7\u00e3o e a gest\u00e3o das bacias de capta\u00e7\u00e3o das duas bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas ir\u00e1 melhorar a qualidade do ecossistema atrav\u00e9s de melhores pr\u00e1ticas de gest\u00e3o da \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">\u201c<strong>Este projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua j\u00e1 est\u00e1 a contribuir para o conhecimento sobre a disponibilidade de abastecimento de \u00e1gua e saneamento, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia hidroel\u00e9trica, o controlo de cheias e a seguran\u00e7a alimentar, particularmente num contexto de altera\u00e7\u00f5es e variabilidade clim\u00e1tica.<\/strong>\u201d<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nyambe Imasiku, professor de geologia e coordenador da <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unza.zm\/schools\/mines\/departments\/integrated-water\">Gest\u00e3o Integrada de Recursos H\u00eddricos da Universidade da Z\u00e2mbia<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cOs desafios de desenvolvimento da Z\u00e2mbia centram-se na agricultura, na ind\u00fastria transformadora, na diversifica\u00e7\u00e3o da ind\u00fastria mineira e, em seguida, no turismo; e sem \u00e1gua n\u00e3o haver\u00e1 desenvolvimento\u201d, afirma Imasike ao <em>SciDev.Net<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cA \u00e1gua \u00e9 a principal fonte de energia atrav\u00e9s da energia hidroel\u00e9trica e isto impulsiona a economia na Z\u00e2mbia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>Imasike afirma que a iniciativa pretende aprofundar a compreens\u00e3o da qualidade e disponibilidade da \u00e1gua e usar esse conhecimento para estabelecer solu\u00e7\u00f5es para a descontamina\u00e7\u00e3o de res\u00edduos da minera\u00e7\u00e3o. Ir\u00e1 centrar-se na gest\u00e3o integrada da \u00e1gua, energia, alimentos e ambiente. <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-4e3844de wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none is-style-rounded\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\"  sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/sgciafrica.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Luapula_MAIN.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"996\" height=\"567\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>Ser\u00e1 elaborado um relat\u00f3rio abrangente para o Governo da Z\u00e2mbia sobre a possibilidade de transfer\u00eancia interbacias entre as bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas dos rios Luapula e Kafue, pondo fim a um debate em curso a favor ou contra a transfer\u00eancia de \u00e1gua de uma bacia para outra.<\/p>\n\n<p>A transfer\u00eancia interbacias \u00e9 o processo de transferir \u00e1gua de uma bacia para outra para melhorar a seguran\u00e7a h\u00eddrica em zonas com escassez de \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n<p>Imasike afirma que o projeto assegurar\u00e1 um abastecimento de \u00e1gua fi\u00e1vel para as gera\u00e7\u00f5es futuras, respondendo a preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a disponibilidade de \u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n<p>O projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua come\u00e7ou em outubro de 2020, no \u00e2mbito da O.R Tambo Africa Research Initiative (ORTARChi), que capacita jovens especialistas africanos em \u00e1gua, fornecendo equipamento de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e melhorando compet\u00eancias t\u00e9cnicas. Isto permitiu-lhes desenvolver solu\u00e7\u00f5es como a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de bact\u00e9rias para descontaminar res\u00edduos da minera\u00e7\u00e3o no Copperbelt da Z\u00e2mbia. <\/p>\n\n<p>A ORTARChi est\u00e1 a ser implementada pela National Research Foundation da \u00c1frica do Sul e pela Science Granting Councils Initiative (SGCI).<\/p>\n\n<p>Lan\u00e7ada em 2015, a SGCI apoia 16 ag\u00eancias cient\u00edficas da \u00c1frica Subsaariana, capacitando-as para financiar a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e impulsionar o desenvolvimento com evid\u00eancia e pol\u00edticas s\u00f3lidas.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cEste projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua j\u00e1 est\u00e1 a contribuir para o conhecimento sobre a disponibilidade de abastecimento de \u00e1gua e saneamento, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia hidroel\u00e9trica, o controlo de cheias e a seguran\u00e7a alimentar, particularmente num contexto de altera\u00e7\u00f5es e variabilidade clim\u00e1tica\u201d, afirma Imasike.<\/p>\n\n<p>Acrescenta que o projeto contribui para o Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel relativo \u00e0 disponibilidade de \u00e1gua e saneamento, bem como para objetivos sobre seguran\u00e7a alimentar, crescimento econ\u00f3mico, energia a pre\u00e7os acess\u00edveis e biodiversidade.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o poder\u00e1 trazer clareza sobre a possibilidade de transfer\u00eancia interbacias entre as bacias hidrogr\u00e1ficas dos rios Luapula e Kafue.
