Procurou tamb\u00e9m facilitar a transfer\u00eancia de conhecimento para o setor privado e refor\u00e7ar as parcerias entre os Science Granting Councils (SGCs) e outros intervenientes no sistema cient\u00edfico. <\/p>\n\n<p>A parceria inicial (SGCI-1) terminou em setembro de 2020, sobrepondo-se ao in\u00edcio de uma segunda fase de cinco anos (SGCI-2), que come\u00e7ou em junho de 2018. Esta fase \u00e9 apoiada por financiamento da Swedish Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), do IDRC e da NRF. A German Research Foundation (DFG) juntou-se como Financiador Associado em novembro de 2019, contribuindo para atividades espec\u00edficas.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Em fevereiro de 2022, a SGCI recebeu apoio adicional da Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), em parceria com o IDRC e a NRF. Os SGCs de 17 pa\u00edses da \u00c1frica Oriental, Ocidental e Austral estabeleceram parceria com a SGCI para implementar o programa.
