KIGALI : Un certain nombre de projets de recherche r\u00e9gionaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9s par la Science Granting Councils Initiative (SGCI) en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les conseils subventionnaires nationaux de quatre pays africains, dont le Rwanda, afin de renforcer les syst\u00e8mes de science, de recherche et d’innovation. Le SGCI, une initiative multi-bailleurs, a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 en 2015 avec l’objectif global de renforcer les capacit\u00e9s des conseils nationaux de subventions scientifiques (SGC) dans 15 pays participants d’Afrique subsaharienne, y compris le Rwanda, en soutenant la recherche et les politiques fond\u00e9es sur des donn\u00e9es probantes qui contribuent aux objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement social et \u00e9conomique. <\/p>\n\n

La mise en \u0153uvre de ces projets est conforme \u00e0 la politique nationale 2020 du Rwanda en mati\u00e8re de science, de technologie et d’innovation, qui vise \u00e0 mobiliser les investissements dans le domaine de la science, de la technologie et de l’innovation pour qu’ils aient un impact croissant sur les entreprises et l’industrie. Avant ces interventions, le gouvernement rwandais \u00e9tait le principal bailleur de fonds pour la recherche, qui \u00e9tait principalement financ\u00e9e par un soutien budg\u00e9taire r\u00e9gulier, sans cadre de suivi consolid\u00e9 pour mesurer le volume des d\u00e9penses nationales de R&D et \u00e9valuer leur impact sur le d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n\n
