A new report prepared for the United Nations on "The Geography of African Investment", was launched on the 15 July 2018. This report draws on various databases e.g. FDI Markets and Orbis regarding the investment flows between world cities during 2003 – 2017. The report reveals the economic integration of African cities with other world cities, the spatial structures, trends, and forecasts of African FDI which are revealed at global, continental, national and urban scales, also showing how these impact social, environmental and economic developments in African cities. The report covers various studies by researchers from different international universities.
