Our survey, collecting responses from 106 researchers and research coordinators throughout sub-Saharan Africa, highlights the diversity of opinions and preferences with regards to Africa-relevant dimensions of research excellence and related performance indicators. The results of the survey confirm that research excellence is a highly multidimensional concept that ought to be contextualised in order to be responsive and useful to beneficiary communities.</p>GP0|#03be525c-b7ec-4130-9420-bb64be65ae2e;L0|#003be525c-b7ec-4130-9420-bb64be65ae2e|Report;GTSet|#05b0ce45-fffe-4b66-bd33-38d958b5ee62GP0|#523eafba-c5db-435f-94f2-fd862a3812b0;L0|#0523eafba-c5db-435f-94f2-fd862a3812b0|English;GTSet|#5c7f15a7-dcd4-4b83-9d63-5ad1425282c6http://sgciafrica.org/en-za/resources/Resources/SGCI Research Excellence Discussion Paper.pdf
